Kanneliya

Kanneliya Rain forest is one of the remaining rain forests of Sri Lanka. The forest is renowned for its watershed value and is only an hour and a half from the centre of Galle. The forest is situated 35km northwest of the City of Galle and is a major catchment area for two of the most important rivers in southern Sri Lanka, “Gin Ganga” and “Nilwala Ganga”. You might see monkeys, snakes, chameleons, extensive birdlife and a vast range of tropical trees, plants and flowers and a beautiful waterfall. The Anagimale fall is just 2km from the entrance.
